MPM Producer

Reborn: “Reborn is about finding some old passions and motivations covered by years of regular dayjobs for society. These motivations are shown as demons who, sooner or later, have to come out.”

Crossroads: “This song is definitely trying to give a strong message. You might sum it up thinking “this song is about being optimistic or pessimistic, and to choose which one we want to be in certain situations.” But there is actually more. This song is about realizing that certain situations (that everyone experiences in life) have two sides. One is light and one is darker. Just like two faces of the same coin. The song is about accepting the fact that these situations need to be lived with both moods. Or at least asking ourselves why we are doing something, and what is the real meaning behind the choices we made and the experiences we live. The deepest song of the entire EP, with a cryptic breakdown, but here it is.”

Anybody Free?: “The concept is that a lot of people are not really free in society, doing day jobs they don’t like or stuff they don’t want to do. But this song treats this matter in a funny way. MPM Producer is telling some funny stories that he had on various jobs he had. Pizza delivery man breaking doors, barman making not so good hot dogs and so on. The production tries to bravely create uncommon blends. Dubstep sounds and guitar harmonies.”

Getting Over You: “Pretty simple nostalgia song. It’s hard to forget somebody we loved. The production style and songwriting remind famous pop punk bands of the last decade.”

Migrant Worker: “This song is about changing country, work and habits. Even if it’s challenging, it might be depressive at the first stage. Nostalgia song, again. Production side, the gipsy intro is not made by case.

Lives on Air: “This song is about social networks and how they changed our lives. The lyrics describe different situations. A lonely guy walking, people watching a sunset, people hanging out with new friends. Is it now normal to constantly use our smartphones in such occasions, but sometimes, it’s definitely too much. And, if we really think about it, it’s useless. Why are people sharing a lot of things? What is the real purpose? To act happy, interesting, satisfied? Furthermore, socials became a way to escape from our little daily anxieties: a moment of loneliness, knowing new people…

Reborn (rap version): “This song is about finding some old passions and motivations covered by years of regular dayjobs for society. These motivations are shown as demons who, sooner or later, have to come out. The rap version also contains a verse in Italian.
