A few days ago, Magnolia Park have unveiled their latest single, “Love Me”, featuring Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens.
The song was produced by legendary pop punk/alternative rock producer Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, Neck Deep), along with a music video filmed by Evan Draper (Psylo Digital).
On this new single, Magnolia Park comments: “Love Me is about trying desperately to escape an abusive relationship that you can’t seem to pull yourself away from. The main lyric, “just pretend to love me”, is meant to represent the desire of wanting your abuser to pretend to love you so that you can pretend everything is alright. It’s a very dark meaning that unfortunately relates to many people in their current or past relationships.
Kellin Quinn came into the picture after we sent him the song. He loved it and agreed to feature on the second verse as well as backing vocals throughout the rest of the song. He also sent us footage so he could be in the song’s music video. The song itself is far from our usual sound. We continue to break “genre rules” hoping to captivate many different audiences with the diverse sound that is Magnolia Park.”
