Influenced by a multitude of bands such as Silverstein, A Day To Remember or Brand New, Anchor The Appetite consists of lead guitarist Ryan Self, rhythm guitarist Scotty Emberton, drummer Noah Nichols and lead vocalist Tyler Bakke.
The guys have recently revealed their single “Paper Plane”, written several years ago by their guitarist and producer, Scotty Emberton. On this song, the band comments: “Paper Plane was inspired by Scotty’s past relationship with a previous lover. We convey in the first verse, a “send off” to the partner saying, “I know that you’ll come back, (into the chorus) Washed up and helpless,” meaning they were basically lying through their teeth the entire relationship, never willing to change, continuing the same cycle of toxicity, and becoming helpless overall, never being able to defend their false narratives in said relationship.”
The guys have other songs in the works, containing more influences and sounds that really branch out. Stay tuned!
