The Boston pop-punks started writing songs and playing small acoustic shows and open mics in early 2019 while quietly recording, mixing and mastering their debut record with music industry titan Jesse Cannon.

Daisytop” is an up-tempo party song about falling for someone that you don’t know anything about. Wikstrom wrote the lyrics after taking a girl on a first date at a metal concert, and later wrote the track with the rest of the band. The song takes influence from 70’s power-pop, like The Cars and Cheap Trick, combining fiery guitars and soaring synths with a catchy pop hook.

There’s no doubt that with such a strong debut single, these guys have a bright future ahead. We can’t wait to see what comes next for Start the Week Over. Well done, guys!

Musically,
What Happened to your Band?
