Formed in 2012, Arrows in Action has made a name for itself in the Southeast opening for national acts such as Drake Bell, We The Kings, Icon For Hire, & Cute Is What We Aim For.
The band classifies their music as “Dance-able, Edgy Pop Rock,” drawing inspiration from Pop Punk, Disco Funk, and Grunge, while incorporating aspects of R&B, Ska, Emo, and Soul. Lyrically, the band comments on the adventures and perils of being twenty-something and broke but loving it and portrays an emotive, groovy summer aesthetic in their music.
According to the band, their song “Denim” culminates their EP both musically and lyrically. “The first four songs are about love, loss, and searching. Denim is about that feeling you get after finding that something (or in this case, someone) that really helps you find your ground after that lost feeling. Musically this song, we feel, encompasses that feeling. It’s upbeat, fast, and it ties “Hell in Paradise” up in a nice little bow for the listener,” comments the band.
