Sick of the Riot – “Life Will Explode” (EP Review)

Sick of the Riot is a 2 piece alternative rock band from Birmingham, UK. The guys will release on October 26th 2018 their new EP, “Life Will Explode”, and here’s what our reviewer Derek had to say about it!

Sick Of The Riot

Their newest EP shows a host of influences, some more recent like Royal Blood, and others that have stood the test of time like Anti-Flag and Nirvana. There are strong guitar riffs with crunching ferocity and thick drum grooves that permeate every single track.

The best part about this EP is the musical diversity of each track, one minute you are lifted by catchy but somber melodies, the next you are feeling the need to mosh from the hardcore punk shifts in tone that the album.

If you are looking for a band to take you out of the ho-hum state modern rock finds itself in with endless clones of Imagine Dragons and other ambient rock groups, I would recommend Sick of the Riot wholeheartedly. I say this as a punk rock musician and lover of music.

Musically,
