Band of the week 25: Florence And The Fields

Introducing our Band of the Week #25: Punk band Florence And The Fields!

Florence and the Fields

Who are they?
Florence and the Fields
is an Italian punk band hailing straight from Milan. The band consists of Matteo (Guitar / Vocals), Mattia (Guitar / Vocals), Nicolò (Bass) and Davide (Drums).

The band also takes its influences from punk rockers such as Knuckle Puck, Homesafe, Brand New and Real Friends.

Focus on their single ‘Clear’
On November 27th 2017, Florence And The Fields dropped their debut single ‘Clear‘. This song is about love and resentments.

Clear is the very first song for our new project ‘Florence and the Fields’. We decided to brand it as a song about love and resentment. The song deals with the theme of attachment and speaks about a bad ended relationship. We wrote the lyrics as an accusal to hypocrisy and lack of communication which should be one of the main things in every kind of relationship.

With ‘Florence and the Fields’ we want to keep a kind of gloomy sound, deviating from a classic pop-punk sound into a more emphatic and introspective way of composing songs and lyrics, dealing with our experiences and life”, reveals the band.

Musically,
