While the band stands with one foot in the gutter of punk rock, the other foot is always always trying to find the next place to stand.
Blending the obnoxious sounds of Social Distortion and Bad Religion with the heartsoaked howls of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Bruce Springsteen. Braincoats only commits to one rule; there are no rules and therefore no influence is being left out.
The band recently dropped ‘Dead at 21‘. Released on november 26th, this is the first single of BRAINCOATS brand new album 12 ‘Reasons For Self-Medication‘.
“It was written about 2 years ago and really set the tone for the rest of the album. Since it stands out from the rest of the songs we sort of knew that this was gonna be the first thing that people should get to hear, it’s different and thats why we like it.
The song is about growing up and the world forcing it’s views upon you. Growing up, you get told that you have to let go of your childish dreams and move on. I refuse to do so, and that’s what the song is about”, reveals the band.
