Meet the punk-rock band Spring Moods!

I got the chance to exchange with the Italian punk-rock band Spring Moods. Learn more about their debut album “Sad Love Story” below!

Spring Moods

Hey guys. Thanks for taking time to answer a few questions for us! Could you please introduce your band to our readers? Who’s in your band and what are your roles in it? Hi everyone! We are Spring Moods, from Forlì, Italy and we are: Enea drummer/security, Morgan bass/manager, Michel guitar/vocals, Fede guitar/vocals!

Over the years, I got the chance to work with many Italian bands and let’s be honest, there’s a lot of punk rock bands over there. According to you, what sets your band apart from all the other bands in your genre? After a long meditation, we are pretty sure that chest hair is the biggest difference between us and the others… or maybe many of the influences we got in the years from other bands just end up in what spring moods are… and that’s the thing for all the other bands, but it’s always a different result, I guess!

Can you tell us more about your debut album ‘Sad Love Story’? What’s the story behind it and what kind of songs can we expect to hear? I actually find it quite surprising to have such short songs on an album. Any reasons? Sad Love Story is the result of a lot of experiences and emotions, and in some case, only just a significant phase, we’ve got through the last year. Songs were written to be fast, immediate and impactful, hoping to surprise the listener and breaking the common structure of punk rock songs.

How was the writing process for this record? What about the recording process? Any funny story from the studio? The writing process was very natural, everything was just born very easily. The recording… Mmmmmmm, we got some problems and…”we know bad people in town”… that’s it!

Which of the new songs were you most excited for people to hear? Any particular reason? I personally really enjoyed ‘The Fall’! We all love “Super High”, maybe because it’s the only funny song! And “Goodmornig Vietnam” because we really feel the power of Rock & Roll Heaven when we play that!

And to finish… If you could share the scene with any band, who would it be? NOFX, The copyrights and Dear landlord. Any band we knew and we played with. We love the Punk scene, the community and the underground zone. Everyone was very friendly and we had a lot of good time!

Musically,
What Happened to your Band?
